I think that he was a good role model because, he showed people that you can do almost anything in life. When you put your mind to it and don't give up and that when you do fail at something just keep trying and eventually you will succeed.
The first reason he is a good role model is that, his music inspired people. It inspired people to do things in their life and to follow their dreams. When he didn't play in Georgia because the crowd was going to be segregated it them get rid of the segregation and made the song Georgia the states theme song.
The second reason is that he proved that you can do anything as long as you put your mind to it, just like how he plays music even though he's blind. So it shows other people that you may have a disability but it can't stop you from pursuing your dreams.
Lastly he kept his promises when he made them. Like when he said the he would quit drugs he did. He stared going to a rehab clinic and stayed in there until the drugs were out of his system.
In conclusion, the impact he left for viewers is follow your dreams and you will acheive it someday. As a person i think of him as good person even though he had some tough times he over came them and moved on.
